Spark Clear Aligners in the UK
Spark is a premium clear aligner system made by Ormco, using TruGEN material. It is positioned as a direct Invisalign alternative and is growing in availability through UK orthodontic and dental practices.
What Are Spark Aligners?
Spark aligners are made by Ormco, a company with over 60 years of orthodontic heritage and part of the Envista Holdings group. Spark uses a proprietary material called TruGEN, which Ormco claims is clearer, more stain-resistant, and more comfortable than the SmartTrack plastic used in Invisalign aligners.
Like Invisalign, Spark uses a series of removable clear trays to move teeth gradually. Treatment is planned using Spark's digital planning software, and aligners are changed every one to two weeks. Attachments (small tooth-coloured buttons) are bonded to teeth to help achieve more complex movements.
Spark is available exclusively through certified Ormco providers — orthodontists and dentists who have completed Ormco's training programme.
